SAFE Young Professionals Committee Member

The SAFE Young Professionals is a program of The SAFE Alliance, and it's members are on a mission to stop abuse for everyone. A group of dedicated and compassionate young professionals, SYP members support SAFE’s philanthropic efforts in two primary ways: 

- SYP members support SAFE through ongoing monthly donations at any giving level.

- SYP members engage with SAFE and help to raise funds through various events and activities throughout the year.

Opportunities within SYP:

- Learn more about SAFE and engage with the mission

- Serve as a member of various committees (see opportunities below)

- Participate in online peer to peer fundraising activities for SAFE to ensure the advancement of our vision, such as Amplify Austin or #GivingTuesday

- Support, plan, and execute ongoing fundraising events and happy hours throughout the year, such as SAFE & Sound, SYP's premiere fundraiser and benefit concert 

- Act as a social media champion and help to spread the word about SAFE’s mission

- Volunteer with SAFE and serve the Austin community

- Lead a network of your peers as a member of the Leadership Committee

Committee Opportunities: 

- SAFE & Sound Committee: Work with the SAFE & Sound Co-Chairs to plan, coordinate, and execute SYP’s signature fundraiser, the SAFE & Sound Benefit Concert

- Engagement Committee: Assist the SYP Vice Chair in coordinating SYP’s quarterly profit shares, social, and volunteer events to engage members

- Membership Committee: Work with the Membership Co-Chairs to be the official Welcome Wagon to SYP, as well as assist with member recruitment

- Communications Committee: Assist the Communications Chair in creating, developing, and implementing regular SYP marketing and communications
