We're going on a Bat Boat Tour with the Downtown Austin Alliance! Join us for a downtown development update from the experts.

Downtown Austin’s revitalized public places are transforming the experience of our young city. Many of them are emerging right along a defining feature of downtown, Lady Bird Lake. We will experience Yeti Plaza, our newly completed Central Library, Seaholm District, and art-as-life practitioner Ai Weiwei’s Forever Bicycles from a new perspective!

Young leaders are shaping the future of the city, from changing work environments to getting around in new ways. Millennials make up 40% of downtown’s population, and are increasingly making up the workforce downtown. Help us shape the future of the city you will inherit. Hosted by the Downtown Austin Alliance for the Austin Young Chamber and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, join us to to network and learn how you can influence the future of Austin’s growing downtown.

On board we'll have:

  • VIA 313 Pizza
  • A signature cocktail from Dulce Vida Spirits
  • Beer
  • Waterloo Sparkling Water
  • DJ laying down the best beats around!
  • All this for $15 per person!

Time

  • Check-in will be at the YETI Flagship store (220 S. Congress Ave.) at their BARR.
  • Guests must check-in between 5:45-6:30PM.
  • Guests may start boarding the boat at 6:30PM. 
  • The boat will leave the dock at 6:45PM and return at 8:15PM.

Location

Capital Cruises

Boat Location: The boat will depart from Capital Cruises, which is on the waterfront of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. If you walk in at the entrance of the Hyatt, you will walk towards the trail at Lady Bird Lake and exit out the back. There are two docks, we will be at Capital Cruises not Lone Star Riverboat. Again, please check-in at the YETI Store located at 220 S. Congress Ave.! 

Parking: We encourage you to take a rideshare; Austin has RideAustin, Lyft, and Uber. The Hyatt Regency Hotel has a multi-level parking garage and offers guests flat-rate parking of of $10. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please notify your guide when you check-in. Street parking is sometimes available on Barton Springs Road or by Auditorium Shores.
