Let's Taco 'Bout Voting: Voter Registration Drive

Description

Join the Economic Development Committee and VDR's to register to vote in Travis County or update your address! The May 1st election will have eight City of Austin propositions on the ballot. Make sure you're registered, informed, and ready to vote. Early Voting starts on Monday, April 19th and ends on Tuesday, April 27th.

We'll have tacos, coffee, water, and a few chances to win prizes. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house (safely!) and make sure you're ready to go for the May 1 elections.


Important Details:

  • Registration and change of address will only be available for Travis County residents. If you live in another county and have questions about registering or changing your address, please reach out to us at info@austinyoungchamber.org

  • Please bring a Texas driver license number, personal identification number, or the last 4 digits of their social security number.
    • All voters who register to vote in Texas must provide a Texas driver’s license number or personal identification number issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. If you don’t have such a number, simply provide the last four digits of your social security number. If you don’t have a social security number, you need to state that fact.

  • You can check your voter registration status here (as well as what address is on file).


To help ensure everyone's safety, the following guidelines must be followed:

  • Participants must maintain 6ft. of distance between themselves and others.
  • Participants must wear a mask covering their mouth and nose.

Please do not register if you are not feeling well, have tested positive for COVID-19, or feel you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

We will be located in the back parking lot accessible from Wood Hollow Dr. Please look for the tent and volunteers.
